The 2025-2026 season of the Azerbaijan national football championship in the top division (Premier League) continues.
Medianews.az reports that after 20 rounds in the 33-round championship, the top three are "Sabah" with 49 points, "Qarabağ" with 45, and "Zirə" with 35 points.
"Turan Tovuz" has 34, "Sumqayıt", "Araz-Nakhchivan", and "Neftçi" have 30, and "Şamaxı" has accumulated 24 points.
"İmişli" has 19, "Qəbələ" 14, "Kəpəz" 13, and "Karvan-Yevlax" 6 points.
According to the preliminary scheme of UEFA club tournaments for the 2026-2027 season, the Azerbaijan champion is expected to start from the first qualifying round of the Champions League, the bronze medalist from the first round of the Conference League, and the silver medalist from the second qualifying round.
Since 1992, "Qarabağ" has been the national champion 12 times, "Neftçi" 9 times, "Kəpəz" 3 times, "Şəmkir", "Bakı", and "İnter" (now "Şamaxı") 2 times, and "Turan" (Tovuz) and "Xəzər Lənkəran" once each.
