One of the major radio stations in England mistakenly announced the death of King Charles III live on air due to a technical error.
Medianews.az reports that the incident caused a brief confusion in the country.
According to the information, at the station called Radio Caroline, the "official death protocol" was accidentally activated due to a computer error.
The station management later explained that the incident stemmed from a technical malfunction and apologized to both the king and the listeners. It was stated that the automatic alert stored in the system for a possible future monarch's death was mistakenly triggered.
It was announced that after a brief panic, some of the broadcast recordings were deleted.
At the time of the incident, King Charles and Queen Camilla were on an official visit to Northern Ireland. It was reported that they were unaware of the situation.
