In Saudi Arabia, as part of the preparations for the Hajj season, the lower part of the Kaaba's covering has been raised by 3 meters.
Medianews.az reports that the relevant authorities of the country have issued a statement regarding this.
The statement noted that the work involved dismantling the lower parts of the covering, separating the corner sections, and then raising and securing it at a height of 3 meters.
It was emphasized that the approximately two-hour process was carefully carried out by 34 specialists.
It was also stated that this step is taken every year, especially during the intensification of Tawaf in the Hajj period, to prevent damage to the covering and touching it.
The statement added that the raised part is covered with about a 2 meter wide white cotton cloth from all directions, and this is one of the annual measures taken to make the pilgrims' worship more comfortable. //Milli.Az
