The money the USA spends on the war against Iran could save the lives of tens of millions of people worldwide.
Medianews.az reports that this was said by Tom Fletcher, the Deputy UN Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs.
He said during a speech at the “Chatham House” International Relations Institute in London on April 20 that the USA spends 2 billion dollars daily on the war against Iran: “In the UN’s humanitarian plan, we need a total of 23 billion dollars to save the lives of 87 million people prioritized for assistance. This amount is equivalent to the funds spent in less than two weeks of the war against Iran. In other words, with an amount lower than the money spent during two weeks of the war, it would be possible to save the lives of 87 million people.”
On February 28 this year, the USA and Israel started military operations against Iran. By the night before April 8, Baku time, a ceasefire agreement was reached between the USA and Iran. Since April 10, talks have started between Washington and Tehran in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
