After the US intervened by opening fire on the Iranian-flagged "Touska" cargo ship, Tehran took a retaliatory step. The Iranian Armed Forces attacked some US military ships with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Medianews.az reports that the "Tasnim" news agency released information regarding this.
According to the information, US forces targeted the engine compartment of the ship which they stated did not stop despite warnings, disabling and taking control of it. The Iranian side called this move "illegal" and declared that it would respond.
Iranian media claim that the attacks were not limited to UAVs only, and that certain US military facilities were also targeted.
US President Donald Trump confirmed the intervention, stating that the Iranian crew did not obey orders and therefore the ship was neutralized and taken under control.
