A serious criminal incident involving two young men occurred in India. A schoolboy who failed the exam and his 19-year-old acquaintance kidnapped and raped a 16-year-old girl.
Medianews.az reports that the incident took place in the city of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh state.
The victim was only released the next day in the evening and was threatened with harm to her family if she spoke about the incident. By that time, the girl's family had already contacted the police.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the exam results were announced prior to the incident: the victim had achieved high results, while the schoolboy who knew her had failed the exam.
A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident. The 19-year-old has been arrested, and the minor was sent to a special educational institution.
