Two athletes died as a result of an accident that occurred during the motorcycle race held within the framework of the "Alpe Adria International Motorcycle Championship" (AAIMC) series in the Czech Republic.
Medianews.az reports that this was announced by the press service of the European Motorcycle Federation (FIM Europe).
According to the information, the incident happened during the race held in the city of Brno. As a result of the accident, 32-year-old Austrian Philipp Steinmayr and 43-year-old Romanian Adrian Rus died.
It was stated that Steinmayr died at the scene. Adrian Rus, who was taken to the hospital in serious condition, could not be saved.
According to the statement of "FIM Europe," all races planned for the weekend were canceled after the tragedy.
