Financier Jeffrey Epstein wanted to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for many years.

According to the information, in October 2014, Epstein received an e-mail from an unnamed person. The letter stated that Putin was interested in discussing financial markets, digital currencies, and derivatives (derivative financial instruments).
Epstein later consulted former Goldman Sachs official Katy Ruemmler and declined the meeting.
Nevertheless, documents show that Epstein's attempts to arrange a personal meeting with Putin continued for years. Bloomberg reports that there are numerous references to this topic in the disclosed materials.
