According to a survey conducted by "Politico," Spain is the most skeptical country towards the US in Europe. 51% of Spaniards consider Washington a direct threat to Europe.
Medianews.az reports that this figure is the highest among the six countries that participated in the survey. Conversely, only 13% in Poland think this way, and 24% consider the US a close ally.
The survey also showed that 94% of Spaniards want the European Union to be more independent and self-sufficient. Additionally, a significant portion of respondents in Italy and Spain demand an open diplomatic stance against the war in the Middle East.
