Adil Kərimli, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Anar, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union and People's Writer, on July 27.
Medianews.az reports that this information was released by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.
It was noted that during the meeting, issues related to the development of the literary process in the country, support for contemporary Azerbaijani literature, improvement of library work, promotion of reading culture, expansion of creative opportunities for young writers, and joint cooperation in these areas were discussed.
During the conversation, an exchange of views was also held regarding the selection of literary works for state-ordered films, the writing of screenplays, promotion of Azerbaijani literature, and the production of films dedicated to the lives and works of prominent writers.
The parties emphasized that strengthening cooperation between state and public institutions will make an important contribution to the development of national literature and the enrichment of the cultural life of society.
