Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Andy Burnham, on the British Royal Navy's aircraft carrier "Queen Elizabeth."
According to Medianews.az, the Ukrainian leader shared this information on his "Telegram" channel.
"We highly appreciate that our team's visit to the UK is the first official trip since Andy Burnham took office," Zelensky said.
It was noted that during the meeting, the parties discussed the development of joint defense production. Zelensky also thanked the UK for the decision to provide Kyiv with electronic warfare (EW) technologies to protect drones and invited the Prime Minister to visit Ukraine.
Shortly before the visit, Burnham addressed Russia, declaring that support for Ukraine remains unwavering. He emphasized that the UK will not withdraw until a just peace is restored.
Recall that E. Burnham was elected Prime Minister of the UK on July 20. His first official meeting was with V. Zelensky.
