In January 2026, a turnover of 5.3 billion manat was recorded in Azerbaijan's retail trade network.
Medianews.az reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that 49.1 percent of the funds spent in the retail trade network were on food products, 4.9 percent on beverages and tobacco products, 14.4 percent on textile products, clothing and footwear, 5.7 percent on automobile gasoline and diesel fuel, 4.5 percent on electrical goods and furniture, 2.7 percent on pharmaceutical products and medical supplies, 1.5 percent on computers, telecommunications equipment and printing products, and 17.2 percent on other non-food goods.
According to the report, in the retail trade network, the average per capita purchase amounted to 278.6 manat for food products, beverages and tobacco products, and 237.1 manat for non-food goods.
