72 days before the start of the 2026 World Cup, an unexpected change occurred in the Ghana national football team.
Medianews.az reports that the team's head coach Otto Addo has been relieved of his duties.
The statement issued by the Ghana Football Federation noted that cooperation with Addo was terminated immediately and that a new head coach will be introduced soon.
It is reported that this decision was made after the last two unsuccessful results. The Ghana team lost to Germany 1:2 in a preparatory match and had previously been defeated by Austria 1:5.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup to be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico will take place from June 11 to July 19. The Ghana team will compete in Group L with England, Panama, and Croatia.
