Attacks carried out by Ukraine's drones in Russia's Moscow and Tambov regions have caused serious losses for Wildberries, one of the country's largest online trading platforms.
This was reported by The Bell publication.
According to the information, as a result of the attack, two large logistics centers located in the city of Elektrostal in the Moscow region and the city of Kotovsk in the Tambov region were damaged. Based on the assessment of sources, 10-15 percent of Wildberries' total warehouse space has been destroyed.
A source close to the company stated that this does not mean the complete cessation of the marketplace's operations. However, a significant load on the logistics system is expected, especially in the Moscow market.
According to real estate experts cited by the Vedomosti newspaper, Wildberries lost approximately 350 thousand square meters of logistics space. This corresponds to about 7 percent of the company's entire warehouse fund.
Based on expert calculations, the value of the logistics parks exceeds 20 billion rubles. Taking into account the goods and equipment stored in the warehouses, the total damage is reported to have reached 85 billion rubles, approximately 1 billion US dollars.
During the attack, 8 people were killed and dozens were injured.
Tatyana Kim, the head of Wildberries, stated that the company is discussing the payment mechanism for sellers who lost goods. Nevertheless, she noted that according to current regulations, the marketplace is not obliged to compensate for lost goods./Modern.az
