An emergency vaccination against hepatitis A virus has begun in Dagestan due to the risk of infection spread following recent floods.
This was reported by the Federal Service for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare of Russia.
It was stated that vaccination is being carried out based on epidemiological indicators in order to protect the population in emergency zones.
It is noted that primarily workers in public catering, trade, and food supply sectors, canteen staff of children's institutions, residents of temporary accommodation centers, as well as personnel working in communal services and restoration work are being vaccinated.
Let us remind that on March 28, due to heavy rains in Dagestan, there were interruptions in electricity and water supply, flooding, and transportation problems; a state of emergency was declared in several districts./oxu.az
