It has been revealed that the diplomas of 10 people who studied abroad in the first 3 months of this year are fake.
Medianews.az reports, citing the Quality Assurance Agency in Education, that in the first 3 months of 2026, 1305 applications were submitted to the agency for the recognition of diplomas of persons who studied abroad.
Among the applicants, the diplomas of 1050 people were recognized, while 255 applications were rejected.
According to the information, the diplomas of 10 people were not recognized because they were fake. Also, the reason for the rejection of 2 applications was related to Baku branches without licenses.
The majority of applications came from individuals studying in Turkey. Specifically, 445 people who studied in Turkey applied to the agency for diploma recognition. This was followed by Russia (356 people) and Ukraine (203 people). Other applications mainly concern individuals who studied in European and other countries.
By specialization, the most applications were in the field of law (135 people). Additionally, the fields of economics (78 people), finance (69 people), medicine (67 people), and business administration (63 people) also predominated.
