A man in Ohio, USA won $879,000 in the lottery, considering the bird a good omen.

Publika.az reports that the lucky person said that one day while having lunch in his car, suddenly a sparrow flew inside and perched on the floor in front of the passenger seat. The man felt that the bird was promising him luck and the following week he bought three lottery tickets.

The first ticket did not win him anything. On the second ticket, the man saw information about a win of $120,000. He immediately called his wife to tell her that they were finally rich.

At home, the wife examined the winning ticket and it turned out that the man could actually receive $10,000 per month for 20 years. In total, he could have obtained $2.4 million. However, the man preferred to take the winnings as a one-time payment.

The couple has not yet decided how to spend the prize money. They plan to consult a financial advisor.
