Despite a shortage of funds in the German defense budget, preparations have begun for possible war scenarios.

According to the information, the port city of Bremerhaven, located on Germany's North Sea coast, will undergo modernization of Europe's largest car terminal worth 1.35 billion euros (1.6 billion dollars). Government investments are not intended to increase the export of "Mercedes-Benz" and "Volkswagen" cars, but rather to ensure the transportation of military equipment such as the 60-ton "Leopard" tank to potential fronts.
The agency stated that this project, included in the 2026 German budget, is part of the country's broader plan for potential war preparedness.
It is noted that in the event of a possible attack on Europe, Germany's geographical location and industrial resources make it a strategic center for the logistical supply of troops.
