"My father continues his treatments. Thanks to our government, they always keep him under care. We do whatever we can. God willing, if Allah permits, we should also perform at the "Khari Bulbul" festival. We will perform a duet together with my father. With goodness! As long as there is health."
These words were said to Medianews.az by the People's Artist Zaur Rzayev's son, Honored Artist Azər Zadə (Azər Rzazadə).
He added further:
"Everyone shows attention and care to my father. He has been ill for several years, you can't imagine that every moment, every second, TV staff and journalists are interested. We thank each of them on behalf of our family. Currently, he does not appear on any programs, does not give interviews. He is simply resting. I know everyone understands us. My father has lost some strength and does not feel stable. With the support of our state, we do all we can. God willing, it will get better."
Azər Zadə, who continuously promotes Azerbaijani opera art abroad, says that he is currently in Azerbaijan because of his father's health:
"I spend a lot of time with my father. Due to his illness, I have not been able to travel abroad for a while. Because my trips are long-term. Of course, my father misses the art. Despite his illness, he still recalls his music and songs and reviews them. It is impossible for a person born entirely for music to be distant from music."
It should be noted that some time ago, Zaur Rzayev had a heart problem. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has taken on the artist's treatment expenses.
