So, what will happen to Iran's uranium?

A ceasefire agreement has been reached between the United States and Iran. The first phase of talks between the US and Iran is expected to take place on April 10 in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Recall that one of the main objectives in the war against Iran, which began in February of this year and also lasted 12 days in the summer of last year, was to stop the country’s nuclear program.

Iran has significant reserves of highly enriched uranium. Enriched uranium is one of the main components for producing nuclear weapons.

In March of this year, American officials told "The Wall Street Journal" that the Trump administration was also considering a separate military operation to remove uranium from Iran.

So, what will be the fate of the uranium reserves issue in the current situation?

Medianews.az reports that US President Donald Trump, in his first statement after announcing the ceasefire, also touched upon this issue. In an interview with the "France-Presse" agency, he stated that the issue of Iran's uranium reserves will be "completely fine." Trump said that if this issue had not been agreed upon, the ceasefire would not have been reached.

"This issue will be fully resolved, otherwise I would not have compromised," Trump emphasized, but did not disclose the details.
