The number of people receiving benefits in Azerbaijan for women who have more than five children is 2,939.
Medianews.az reports that this information was provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population in response to an inquiry from "Report".
It should be noted that according to the legislation, the benefit is assigned to women who have given birth to and are raising more than five children - on the condition that the children are alive - once the child whose birth established this right reaches the age of 1.
The amount of the benefit is 140 manats for each child.
