In the state budget for 2026, an expenditure of 78.7 million manat is planned for the television, radio, and publishing sector.
Medianews.az reports that 42.3 million manat of the funds are allocated to the "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint-Stock Company, 21.7 million manat to the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, and 7.1 million manat to the Azerbaijan State Information Agency (AZERTAC).
The funds allocated for Azerbaijan’s national representation in the "Mir" Interstate Television and Radio Company amount to 658.8 thousand manat, funds allocated to the Ministry of Culture amount to 256.3 thousand manat, and funds allocated for the maintenance of radio and television editorial offices amount to 32.2 thousand manat.
The Media Development Agency receives 6.4 million manat from the budget.
Under another sector, 2.5 million manat of expenditures are allocated to the Audiovisual Council.
The budget package for 2026 was approved on December 29.
According to information from Medianews.az, the state budget foresees revenues of 38 billion 609 million manat and expenditures of 41 billion 703.6 million manat.
The State Social Protection Fund’s budget forecasts revenues of 8 billion 323.1 million manat and expenditures of 8 billion 483 million 70 thousand manat.
The unemployment insurance fund’s budget has formalized revenues of 238.3 million manat and expenditures of 266.4 million manat.
The minimum subsistence level and the criteria for needs for the year 2026 will be 300 manat.
