The Central Bank has released a statistical bulletin. According to the report, as of November 1, 2025, more than 29.4 billion manats in loans and nearly 16 billion manats in deposits have been formalized in Azerbaijan; the total assets of 22 banks have exceeded 56.3 billion manats, and total liabilities have surpassed 49.1 billion manats.

Overdue loans are reported at 544.8 million manats. This is 95.7 million manats more compared to the beginning of the year. The year 2025 started with 449.1 million manats in problematic loans.

Medianews.az reports that in 2015, problematic loans amounted to 976.3 million manats. The devaluations that year increased problematic loans. Problematic loans were formalized as 1 billion 508.5 million manats in 2016, 1 billion 472.6 million manats in 2017, 1 billion 626.7 million manats in 2018, and 1 billion 585 million manats in 2019.

In 2019, the state provided devaluation compensations to individuals for loan agreements concluded since January 1, 2012.

Overdue loans were 1 billion 273.1 million manats in 2020, 893.1 million manats in 2021, 719.4 million manats in 2022, 593.7 million manats in 2023, and 437.8 million manats in 2024.
