The former president of "Azerbaijan Airlines" JSC (AZAL), Jahangir Asgarov, has increased his share in "Premium Bank" JSC from 84.47% to 86.25%.
According to Medianews.az, this occurred after the charter capital of "Premium Bank" was increased by 20 million manats or 12.9%, reaching from 154.6 million manats to 174.6 million manats. Jahangir Asgarov acquired all the newly issued shares released for the capital increase.
As a result, the shares of other shareholders decreased — the share of "VIP Aviation Services" LLC dropped from 15.22% to 13.47%, and Elvira Ahmadova's share decreased from 0.31% to 0.28%.
It should be recalled that "Premium Bank" was established in 1993 under the name "AZAL Bank," changed its name to "Silk Way Bank" in 2008, and underwent rebranding again in 2018. (Report)
