With the arrival of spring, there has been an increased interest in seasonal fruits in the market. Although not fully ripe yet, plums and kal apricots are visually appealing on the display shelves.
So how are the prices changing?
According to Milli.Az, kal apricots are among the most in-demand fruits. For instance, this product costs 7 manats for 300 grams and is considered cheaper than plums. The 300 grams of plums brought from Goychay costs 10 manats. Depending on the variety of plum, different prices are offered.
According to the sellers, alongside plums and kal apricots, watermelons and strawberries are also in demand:
"Strawberries are brought from Shamkir, Jalilabad, and Lankaran. The price per kilogram starts from 5 manats. Watermelon comes from Iran, and it also costs 5 manats per kilogram."
It should be noted that when the season is fully underway and local products enter the market, fruits will be offered to people at more reasonable prices.
