The de facto leader of the Serb Republic within Bosnia and Herzegovina, leader of the "Independent Social Democrats Alliance" party Milorad Dodik, made sharp accusations towards Western Europe regarding the Ukraine conflict.
In an interview with "RIA Novosti," the politician stated that European countries are using Ukraine only as a tool in confrontation with Russia.
According to him, Kyiv has turned into the "only element of self-preservation" for the European Union: "Europe is trying to stay afloat at Ukraine's expense."
Dodik noted that the West has chosen the path of waging war against Russia through Ukraine from the beginning of the conflict, and this course continues today.
In his opinion, instead of giving priority to peace talks, Brussels is prolonging the war by increasing military support: "The goal is not to protect Ukraine, but to weaken Russia."
The Serb leader also gave a striking forecast about the post-war period. He said that after the fighting ends, Europe faces a serious internal crisis. According to him, the continent will weaken both in terms of leadership, resources, and values.
Dodik emphasized that Europe lacks a clear strategy for the future. He believes European elites focus on geopolitical competition while pushing demographic, economic, and social problems into the background.
Thus, Milorad Dodik assessed the Ukraine crisis as the West's attempt to delay its own decline. In his view, this policy will fail and as a result, Europe will face deep shocks./publika.az
