An unusual incident occurred at a wedding in India. Two grooms came to the 17-year-old bride's home at the same time, each with their families, and both claimed they had the right to marry her.
Medianews.az reports that the incident took place in the village of Khatauli in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The bride's father told the police that he had initially betrothed his daughter to 20-year-old Pradip Kumar. However, shortly before the wedding, a death in Kumar's family cast doubt on whether the ceremony would take place. Without waiting for an answer, the family chose another candidate - Akash.
As a result, there was a dispute and a fight between the two sides. At this time, someone reported to the “hotline” that the girl might be underage, prompting the police and officials to intervene. The wedding was stopped, the girl was placed in a temporary center, and her age will be confirmed through medical examinations.
Both grooms then left the village disappointed.
