Regarding perishable goods new rules

At today's plenary session of the National Assembly, the draft law on amendments to the Customs Code was discussed.

Medianews.az reports that, according to the draft, if signs of piracy or counterfeit are detected in perishable goods, whose information has been entered into the register, during customs control and customs clearance, the release of such goods will be suspended for 3 (three) working days by the decision of the head of the customs authority carrying out the customs clearance or the person substituting him/her.

The document notes that if the applicant has a justified request, the indicated period will be extended for another 3 (three) working days.

After the discussions, the document was put to a vote and adopted at the first reading.//Musavat.com
