Pavel Durov, the founder of "Telegram," has sharply accused official Paris by declaring a sharp increase in crimes against cryptocurrency owners in France.
Medianews.az reports that Durov shared information about the dangerous trend in France on his English-language channel.
According to him, in the first three and a half months of 2026, 41 incidents of kidnapping of cryptocurrency owners have already been recorded in the country.
Durov claimed that at the root of these crimes are personal data leaked from government agencies:
"More data means more leaks, and as a result, more violence. In France, tax authorities sell information about cryptocurrency owners to criminals, and large-scale leaks occur from government databases."
The famous businessman emphasized that the situation is intolerable and that government interference in people's private lives facilitates the work of criminals. He stated that instead of being part of this chain of crime, "Telegram" prefers to completely withdraw from the French market.
It should be recalled that P. Durov was under long-term legal supervision after being detained in France in 2024 and was only allowed to temporarily leave the country starting from March 2025.//Bakıvaxtı.az
