Tension is rising in Tehran: The death of Laricani gave a crisis signal

It is claimed that a governance crisis has arisen in the country after Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, was killed in an Israeli attack.

Medianews.az reports that the information was published by haberler.com.

According to the information, President Masoud Pezeshkian's call to start negotiations with the United States has caused serious disagreements within the government. The Revolutionary Guard Corps strongly opposes this initiative. At the same time, it is reported that statements attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei also sparked controversy.

According to claims, Pezeshkian is also considering the possibility of resignation amid the escalating situation.

Larijani was considered one of the important figures in Iran's power balance recently. His assassination is evaluated as a continuation of attacks targeting the country’s high-level leadership.

According to the official statement, during the attack, alongside Larijani, his son, aide, and bodyguards also lost their lives. President Pezeshkian condemned the incident in harsh terms.

It should be noted that political tensions within Iran are reported to be increasing amid the ongoing conflict in the region.
