The "Yalta-Potsdam world order" formed after the Second World War no longer exists. Of course, the old order continues by inertia, and this situation deceives those who live with nostalgia for the past. However, this is temporary and will end very soon. It is impossible to bring back the past.
The political tsunami caused by the collapse of the "Yalta-Potsdam world order" has also "hit" NATO, the strongest military-political alliance in history. President Donald Trump's statement about the US leaving NATO stems from this. The US leaving NATO is not Trump's unilateral idea. Trump is a spokesperson for those who believe that change is inevitable. Unlike the Republicans, although the vast majority of Democrats defend the continued existence of NATO, the idea that the US needs a new security system is beginning to come to the forefront in Washington's political circles. Strong leaders who think that the US needs a new security system are also beginning to emerge within the ranks of the Democratic Party.
Member of the House of Representatives Jake Auchincloss has expressed that the new world order necessitates the creation of a new security system, and that NATO cannot fulfill this task, proposing the idea of creating a "Security Arc." Jake Auchincloss, one of the rising stars of the Democratic Party and expected to run in the 2028 presidential election, has ambitions beyond merely forming a new alliance.

Jake Auchincloss believes that NATO was a defensive alliance created after the Second World War to curb the Soviet threat. The congressman holds that the era of establishing a new security system for protection against any threat belongs to the past. The "Security Arc" should encompass, along with security, energy resources and their logistics. The congressman notes that the "Security Arc" should extend geographically from the US to Japan.
Although there is not much detailed information about Congressman Jake Auchincloss's idea, I am of the opinion that the "Security Arc," which must include energy resources and their logistics alongside security, aligns with the interests of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
The preliminary stance of experts is that Congressman Auchincloss's idea is capable of addressing the new challenges and threats faced by the West. Russia's criminal war against Ukraine and processes around Iran have demonstrated that energy resources and logistics are part of the security system, and it is impossible to resolve these matters within the framework of defensive alliances. The fact that European countries did not support the US's military operation against Iran confirmed that the time for defensive alliances has passed. New alliances must encompass joint defense as well as energy resources and logistics.

A graduate of Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a reservist Marine officer, Jake Auchincloss considers Donald Trump a weak leader and thinks the US needs a strong leader. Auchincloss believes the US should continue to support its allies such as Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. In the congressman's "Security Arc" idea, special emphasis is placed on Ukraine and Israel. Congressman Jake Auchincloss, a fervent defender of Ukraine and Israel, has stated that Trump's attempt to bargain with Iran was a catastrophic mistake.
Numerous articles have been written and opinions expressed that NATO does not meet the requirements of the emerging new world order, and therefore the US needs a new security system. Jake Auchincloss's "Security Arc" idea is currently the most perfect and credible among them.
There are also new security system and NATO consultations in Europe. This, however, is the subject of the next article.
