Renowned journalist İmdad Alizade has been appointed as the chief editor of the Olka.az website.
Medianews.az reports that İmdad Ali oghlu Alizade was born in 1980 in the village of Oğuldərə in the Lachin district. He studied at the Oğuldərə village secondary school since 1987, and in May 1992, when the Lachin district was occupied, he was displaced and continued his education at secondary school No. 265 in Baku. He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology at Baku State University, a master's degree in legal psychology, and also completed his doctoral studies in legal psychology. From 2004 to 2005, he served his compulsory military service in military unit "N" located at the Azerbaijan-Armenia contact line.
İmdad Alizade has worked as a correspondent for the newspaper "Intibah," a correspondent and political department editor for the newspaper "Hafta içi," a parliamentary correspondent for the "Trend" Information Agency, a parliamentary correspondent and head of the political department for the Mediaforum.az news portal, an editor for the "Report" Information Agency, the general director of the "Teleqraf" Information Agency, and chief editor of the Yenisabah.az website.
