For those who want to get a driver's license GOOD NEWS

One of the problems that have long been faced by citizens wishing to obtain a driving license in Azerbaijan and which caused serious dissatisfaction has found its solution.
Thus, the validity period of the medical certificate required to participate in the driving license exams was set to only 30 days, which created great difficulty for citizens. Individuals who failed the exam or wished to participate in the next stage had to go through X-rays, laboratory tests, and all medical procedures again every time.

Medianews.az reports that an official statement has been issued by the Medical Territorial Units Management Union (TƏBİB).

TƏBİB stated that according to subparagraph 5.6.5 of the Instruction approved by the Decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 4, 2012, a person wishing to obtain a driving license must submit a medical certificate regarding their fitness to operate a vehicle.

The official reply further notes: "Since the validity period of the medical certificate for being fit to drive is not directly regulated by legislation, in order to protect road traffic participants and society from road traffic accidents and their consequences and to ensure road traffic safety, the validity period of this medical certificate has been set to 30 (thirty) days.

Considering that the short validity period of the medical certificate often forces citizens to undergo repeated medical examinations, including X-rays and laboratory tests, the issue regarding the validity period of the medical certificate for being fit to drive has been reconsidered and the period has been increased to 60 (sixty) days."

Thus, the discussions and public criticism have borne fruit – the 30-day limit, which caused citizens to lose time and money, has been extended to 2 months (60 days).//musavat.com
