US President Donald Trump stated that his country could organize a manned space mission to Mars in the near future.
Medianews.az reports that Donald Trump spoke about this during a speech at an event held in Washington on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence.
The US president first said that a Moon mission would be carried out, and then a manned flight to Mars would be realized.
"We will go to Mars very soon. I think we will reach the Moon and then move forward. After that, we will head to Mars," Trump said.
He also recalled that during his first term in office, the US Space Force was established on his initiative.
According to Trump, although there were those who mocked this initiative at the time, its importance is now clear to everyone.
