A person engaged in immorality on social media has been held administratively liable.
Medianews.az reports, citing "Qafqazinfo," that the Department of Non-Criminal Proceedings of the Prosecutor General's Office prepared a protocol based on Article 510.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code against T. Mammadov (alias), a resident of Fuzuli district born in 1994 (petty hooliganism - for actions expressed in internet information resources or telecommunications networks that insult public morality when publicly demonstrated, openly disrespect society, i.e., uttering immoral expressions or making gestures that create such an impression, or displaying parts of the human body in a manner contrary to moral norms and national-spiritual values).
It was reported that the person presenting themselves as a representative of a sexual minority shared their mobile number via an Instagram profile with 2,295 followers. As they themselves noted, in the videos they shared, without intending to promote any bodywear, they displayed various parts of their body to show attractiveness. By doing so, they fomented the writing of immoral ideas and demands on social media, behaved in a manner contrary to moral norms and national-spiritual values, and openly showed disrespect to society, thus committing petty hooliganism.
Pursuant to the relevant decision of the Nasimi District Court, the 32-year-old individual was sentenced to 10 days of detention.
