Nariman Hasanov, a 36-year-old resident of Jalilabad district, reports that his non-residential property was unlawfully demolished.
According to the complainant who contacted Baku TV's hotline, the demolition works in the area were carried out by "Jalilabad Residence".
"When the construction of this building began, they initially offered me a replacement area of 75 square meters. However, my property is 21.4 square meters, and I was supposed to pay for the additional space. Since I did not have the financial means, I declined this agreement. The object had ceased operations as it was unusable. My livelihood is difficult. I have filed complaints regarding the incident to the relevant authorities. The district executive power claims that this issue is not within their authority. The case was referred to the district prosecutor's office. After one and a half years, the prosecutor's office assessed the issue as an administrative offense and stated that there was no criminal element. I do not agree with this decision and request a re-investigation of the case," said N. Hasanov.
Meanwhile, Vuqar Farajov, an employee of "Jalilabad Residence," commented on the matter as follows:
"The owner of the kiosk was the first to approach us. Negotiations were held regarding the transfer of the land to us. I want to state factually that the land plot under that kiosk belongs to us. During the purchase and sale, the area’s ownership under us was confirmed based on the registry service coordinates. This area was also approved in the master plan by the City Planning and Architecture Committee. Although mutual agreement was initially reached, dissatisfaction arose later, and the opposing party appealed to law enforcement agencies. The matter was reviewed by the Jalilabad District Prosecutor's Office, which concluded that the claim was unfounded."
