The Central Election Commission has disclosed the 2025 financial reports of 26 political parties registered with the state.
Political parties are obligated to submit their annual financial report along with an auditor's opinion to the Central Election Commission no later than April 1 each year.
Medianews.az reports that the financial report of the New Azerbaijan Party, chaired by President Ilham Aliyev, shows revenues close to 47.5 million manats, while expenses exceed 28.1 million manats.
The report of the Musavat Party, considered one of the main opposition organizations, shows income of 60,586 manats and expenses close to 60,582 manats.
The report of another leading opposition organization - the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party - shows no income or expenses.
Legislation envisions the financing of political parties from the following sources: membership fees; donations; state financial aid; income from printed media publications, socio-political publications, and other promotional and advertising materials; funds obtained from civil law contracts, including the use and sale of property, and the receipt of loans (credits); property obtained through legal succession and inheritance; other revenues not prohibited by law.
