Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Beijing.

The Russian leader was officially welcomed in Beijing. The two leaders walked across a red carpet, saluted the honorary guard, and then began talks.
During the meeting, Putin stated that cooperation between the two countries shows a "strong and positive dynamic." He noted that despite foreign pressures, the economic and political relations between Moscow and Beijing continue to develop.
Xi Jinping emphasized that there is an "unshakable strategic partnership" between China and Russia. The Chinese leader said that the two countries have deepened mutual political trust and continue to expand cooperation.
It is reported that issues such as the situation in the Middle East, the Ukraine war, and energy security were also discussed during the talks. Xi Jinping stressed the importance of a ceasefire in the Middle East, noting that expansion of conflicts is undesirable.
Within the framework of the visit, about 40 cooperation documents covering the fields of economy, energy, education, and tourism are expected to be signed.
The meeting took place a few days after Donald Trump’s last visit to China and is being closely followed in the international political agenda.//Qafqazinfo
