Due to unstable weather conditions and flooding from rivers in the Qax, Zagatala, and Balakan regions, serious damage has been caused to the railway infrastructure on the Qax–Balakan section.

According to the information, for safety reasons, train movements in this area have been restricted, and from today until July 20, ticket sales to Qoraghan, Aliabad, Zagatala, Göyəm, and Balakan stations have been temporarily suspended.
In accordance with safety measures, from July 8-20, trains on the Baku–Balakan route will operate only up to Qax station. Trains on the Balakan–Baku route will start from Qax station.
Free buses will be arranged to transport passengers between other stations and Qax station in both directions.
