A man in Russia deliberately set fire to 15 residential properties.
Medianews.az reports that the incident occurred in the city of Seversk in Tomsk region.
According to information, law enforcement authorities became aware of the incident following complaints from local residents about a series of fires that happened in July of last year. During the investigation, it was determined that 16 incidents were caused by one individual.
It is reported that the suspect set fire to 15 apartments and one dilapidated non-residential building.
Police officers identified and detained the person. During the interrogation, he admitted that he carried out his actions simply to watch the fire.
A criminal case has been opened on charges of deliberate destruction of property. The investigation is currently ongoing. Law enforcement authorities do not rule out his involvement in other similar fires.
