Moscow's Tagansky District Court has granted the investigation's petition and extended the detention of Armenian-origin blogger Arsen Markaryan, who is accused of insulting the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, until November 9.
The defendant stated in court that at the time of detention, he did not hide in the cargo area of the vehicle but sat in the passenger seat.
He added that he was not informed about being wanted and did not plan to travel abroad.
Recall that on August 25, Moscow's Tagansky District Court arrested Markaryan, accusing him of insulting the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland. Under this article, he faces up to five years in prison. (Oxu.Az)
