Iran has launched an attack on US companies: Batelco's headquarters was hit.

Tension in the Middle East has this time shifted to digital infrastructure.

Medianews.az reports that Iran's strikes targeted the area in Bahrain's Hamala region, where the country's largest telecommunications company Batelco and Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers are located.

As a result of the incident, serious disruptions occurred in the area.

According to information, the attacks primarily targeted data infrastructure facilities. Power outages occurred, technical malfunctions and partial damages were recorded in some centers. This directly affected the operation of digital services.

The events caused malfunctions in banking operations and aviation reservation systems. Companies were forced to direct users to alternative servers to ensure service continuity.

It should be noted that Iran had previously announced it would target several US technology companies including Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Tesla.

Experts state that the incident once again revealed the risks of dependence on global cloud systems and that the concentration of such infrastructures in certain regions creates serious vulnerabilities in crisis situations.
