The Russian government has imposed a ban on the export of diesel fuel in order to increase supply to the domestic market.
Medianews.az reports that this was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak at a meeting that Vladimir Putin held with the government.
"Today we have imposed a ban on the export of diesel fuel, which will allow us to increase the volume of supply to the domestic market. In July, we will also begin importing oil products. To meet demand in the domestic market, we are increasing additional production volumes through oil products of lower environmental classes. We have extended the application of zero customs duty on the import of oil products and additives for another year," Novak noted.
In April, the Russian government imposed an embargo on gasoline exports, and this ban remains in force until the end of July.
Also, from June 1 to November 30, 2026, a temporary ban has been imposed on the export of aviation kerosene from Russia.//Interfax
