The police detained the suspect with the help of security cameras. According to the information, he entered various supermarkets, opened bottles, added urine inside, and placed them back on the shelves.
The individual has been taken to court under the charges of “violating food safety” and “endangering public health.” In his statement, he described his actions as a “joke.” The incident has brought food safety issues back onto the agenda in Hong Kong. Authorities have called on consumers to carefully check the packaging.
