Who is the winner? Günün sualına CAVAB

Is there a winner at the current stage of the war that stopped on April 8 with a two-week ceasefire agreement - the war conducted by the US and Israel against Iran?

Medianews.az's question was answered by young political analyst Elkhan Shahinoglu:

"There is no winner. Although each side tries to claim it has won, neither the US and Israel have planted their flag in Tehran, nor has Iran planted it in the capitals of these countries.

As a result of the war, the US and Israel delayed Iran for years in enriching uranium, struck blows to its military industry, destroyed bridges and production facilities, but despite great losses, the regime stood firm. If the IRGC, which controls power in Iran, begins enriching uranium again and restores ballistic missile production, then the long-term positive result of the war against Iran for the US and Israel will disappear.

However, it is also true that the regime in Iran must restore the country’s economy, jobs, pay salaries—in other words, meet the needs of the 90 million population.

Before the war, Iran’s economy faced terrible inflation, and shop owners protested. Now, it is necessary to eliminate the severe consequences of the war; solving social problems has become even more difficult. It is problematic for Iran’s closest partner China to invest in this country because Beijing has no assurance that Iran will not face a new war.

It is truly difficult to say the war is over. A pause has been taken. The ceasefire is fragile. No agreements signed in this world are honored, let alone adhering to a ceasefire..."
