Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to Portuguese President Antonio Jose Seguro.
Medianews.az reports that the letter says:
"On the occasion of the national holiday of the Portuguese Republic, I sincerely congratulate you and, through you, all your people on my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people, and extend my best wishes.
I believe that we will continue our joint efforts to develop Azerbaijani-Portuguese relations, founded on mutual respect, and to strengthen our cooperation.
On such a memorable day, I wish you strong health, happiness, and constant prosperity and well-being to the friendly people of Portugal."
