"Immunization Week" will be held in Azerbaijan from April 19 to 25.
It was stated that the Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev, signed an order regarding this.
According to the order, it is envisaged to involve children who have missed vaccination for any reason in the republic’s cities and districts in vaccinations within the framework of the "Immunization Week," to conduct monitoring especially in districts where vaccination coverage is low, to provide methodological assistance to medical institutions carrying out children's vaccination in organizing immunization activities, and to organize public awareness on this matter.
During the "Immunization Week," a series of events are planned to be held in several districts. Also, posters and reminder leaflets on various topics have been prepared for distribution to the public in the healthcare administration and institutions of the republic.
It should be noted that since 2006, on the initiative of the World Health Organization, "Immunization Week" has been held annually in the European region, and the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan also participates in this event.
