Let us not be deceived by the name “Diet”: The hidden danger of “PP” foods revealed

Some foods presented under the name "Healthy" may not be as beneficial as you think.

Medianews.az, referring to Foodinfo.az, reports that doctor-gastroenterologist Yekaterina Kashukh has explained that products sold with the "PP" (proper nutrition) label may actually be rich in hidden calories.

According to the information, the specialist notes that the concept of "healthy fast food" is often used as a marketing trick and creates the illusion in people that such foods can be eaten without limitation.
As a result, people increase the portion size and unknowingly consume as many calories, salt, and fat as ordinary fast food. The expert emphasizes that the term "PP" has no official or legal definition and no specific standards are applied in this field.

For this reason, each manufacturer or public catering establishment presents this concept in its own way. In some cases, portions of such foods are large, and information about the quality of the products used is not disclosed. This makes it difficult for the consumer to determine the real nutritional value.

On the other hand, dietitian Natalya Pavlyuk also gave a statement about the effects of coffee. According to her, coffee may show certain benefits in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and liver problems. However, caffeine can cause high blood pressure, anxiety, and addiction in some people. Also, this substance may weaken the absorption of essential minerals such as calcium, iron, and zinc.
