"One of the good choices for breakfast could be an omelet with fresh vegetable salad and toast made from whole grain bread topped with fruit jam."
Endocrinologist Margarita Belousova spoke about this in an interview with the Lenta.ru portal.
According to the doctor, other healthy breakfast options include a sandwich made with chicken breast, lettuce leaves, cream cheese, and tomato, as well as fruit and berries served with Greek yogurt sauce.
The specialist also recommended curd or curd casserole with berries and nuts, as well as a salad baked in the oven with pumpkin and feta cheese. The endocrinologist also paid attention to porridges, traditionally considered for breakfast. In her opinion, although cereals have many advantages, they may not be suitable for everyone.
For example, it is recommended that people with type 2 diabetes prefer porridges with a low glycemic index. This includes oatmeal, buckwheat, and barley porridge. At the same time, people with gluten intolerance are advised to avoid porridges made from bulgur, barley, and wheat.
According to M. Belousova, in such cases, buckwheat, rice, and corn are considered safer alternatives./oxu.az
