Yesterday was the global Armenian commemoration day. We are already accustomed; this disgusting history is remembered every year with another outburst of hatred against Turks. Unfortunately, not only the Armenians, but also the cunning anti-Turkish circles and unscrupulous lobbyists who constantly use Armenians as puppets enter the same deceitful mourning aura that day.
One of them is the New York mayor, 34-year-old Zohran Mamdani. This person of Ugandan origin made quite a fuss on April 24.
Quote: “Today is the 111th anniversary of the ‘Armenian genocide’ (quotation marks ours – Z.S.). While commemorating the memory of 1.5 million (?! – Z.S.) Armenians killed by the Ottoman Empire in the current territories of Turkey, Syria, and Armenia, we must prevent the repetition of history. In 2020, Azerbaijani and Turkish forces attacked the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2023, Azerbaijan expelled more than 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and continued a genocide campaign that began more than 100 years ago. On this day of remembrance, we reaffirm the Armenian people's right to freedom, security, and self-determination.”
The slander about a supposed joint attack by Azerbaijan and Turkey on the “population of Nagorno-Karabakh” was surely noticed. The 44+1 day war, during which not a single civilian Armenian’s nose was even bleeding in Karabakh, seems like it happened before our era.
Perhaps this ignoble creature cannot even find Karabakh on the map. But look at his arrogant fabrication and agitation. He acts more Armenian than an Armenian, more Dashnak than a Dashnak. He thus justifies the wild vandals burning the Turkish flag yesterday in Yerevan. One wonders where he was when Azerbaijanis were savagely expelled from Armenia and Karabakh?

Okay, let’s say he was still in his mother’s womb or was 3-4 years old then. But why now does he only lament the plight of Armenians who are bearing the consequences of their own bad deeds, and says not a word about the Azerbaijani former forcibly displaced persons and refugees? Why does he not speak about their right to self-determination?
Two reasons come to mind. First, this person is a member of the Democratic Party. The US “Democrats” are traditionally close to the Armenian lobby and promote Armenian falsehoods. It is no coincidence that the only president to officially recognize the fake “genocide” was Joe Biden. In other words, corruption, the scent of money and bribery.
The second motive is probably connected to the upcoming midterm elections in Congress. Certainly, the party hopes to secure the votes of Armenian-American citizens. It remains to be seen; it might even be that pro-Armenian Mamdani wishes to run as a candidate in the 2028 presidential elections...
The most disgusting aspect of the matter is that currently the leadership of Armenia itself does not want to shed light on or open the fake genocide claim. Nor does it raise the issue of Armenians who voluntarily moved from Karabakh. Because both topics are considered serious threats to peace-building with Baku and Ankara.
On April 24, even in his appeal on the anniversary of the fake “genocide,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not use the word “genocide” literally. He preferred the expression “great massacre.” In recent years, his government has altogether removed this topic from foreign policy priorities. At the same time, he periodically warns society that continuing the “Karabakh movement” will bring new disasters for Armenia.
The Armenian prime minister continuously states that if the old approaches continue, peace with Azerbaijan will not be possible. He openly declared on the same basis that there should be no reference to the Declaration of Independence in the new constitution. Pashinyan emphasized that the sole reason is that the “Karabakh movement” should no longer be kept on the political agenda. He noted that Armenia should focus on the idea of “Real Armenia” and pay attention to security and welfare issues within internationally recognized borders. Armenians who moved from Karabakh must also fully integrate into Armenian society...
The mayor of New York, however, takes an extremely incendiary and provocative stance, claiming the Armenians’ “right” to self-determination. Damn the devil and Mamdani—does he even see if they want to return? Are they ready for the essential condition of return—to accept Azerbaijani citizenship?
It was said here, “No matter what you play, I will play ‘Heyvagül.’” Then play, as much as you want! We are already used to these games...
